Library rug refresh with FLOR

DIY
Three years with our Roadside Attraction FLOR rug in our home library and it’s time for a style refresh! #FLORPartner
old rug squares with new box from FLOR waiting to be opened and installed.
With toddlers and pets running around, our rugs get lots of everyday-big-family traffic. All of our FLOR rugs have held up impressively. I am ready for a new look in this space and love that our old rug can be sent back to be recycled through FLOR’s Return & Recycle program.
When looking for a new style, I wanted to stay in the neutral color scheme + large pattern to really ground the entire space.  I came across the Lunaire area rug and was immediately drawn to it.
I chose my color + rug size, and FLOR’s website did the math to tell me how much of what was needed. I love the movement in the pattern of this rug style. It’s just different enough for my taste, yet neutral enough to not take away from the library bookshelves, which are the star of the show in this room.
The Lunaire pattern allows for a ton of creativity with the shapes and colors. I wanted to replicate what I saw on the original featured website photo. It’s a bit of a fun puzzle, and the possibilities are endless!
I can’t tell you how much I adore this new rug pattern. It feels luxurious, and I know it’s going to hold up forever and ever, even with pets and kids.
Our vintage furniture and hanging plants are looking soooooo good!
Now I can take the old Roadside Attraction rug in the color Haze and load the tiles into the Recycle Kit, using the pre-labeled FLOR Tile Recycle Bags that will go back to the company for recycling. Typically, carpet can take hundreds of years to break down in a landfill. With FLOR, these tiles will be turned into beautiful new rugs!
